Chethana Raghupathy, MD

President

Dr. Raghupathy, MD  has been practicing in the Greater Dayton area since 2002 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is passionate about educating her patients on their medical problems and thereby empowering them in managing their health. She believes in giving back to the community and has organized fundraising events in favor of local charities. in her spare time, she trains interested students in Indian classical dance and has performed in various local cultural festivals. She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband, Santhosh, children, Rachana and Pavan, and playful goldendoodle, Sona.

Manish Sheth, MD

President Elect

Dr. Sheth, MD  is board certified in Hematology/oncology, practicing in greater Dayton area since 2004. Through his work, he has become a valuable member of the community, not only as a medical professional but also as an advocate for community education and well being. By participating in community events and initiatives, he help raise awareness of cancer prevention and treatment options, and provide valuable resources and support to those in need. He is married to Sona Sheth and blessed with two daughters, Mirisha and Anisha.

Asheesh Bothra, MD, MBA, FACP

Treasurer

Dr. Bothra, MD, MBA  is a board-certified hospitalist affiliated with Kettering Health Network in Dayton, OH. He graduated medical school from S P Medical College in Bikaner, India, and did his residency at West Penn Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh. He also obtained an MBA from Indiana University. He worked at the University of Pittsburgh for many years before moving to his current position in Dayton. He has served as Medical Director of Cerner at UPMC and presently, he is the chair of utilization management for three hospitals at Kettering Health. He is the second vice president and board member of the Montgomery County Medical Society and also serves on the alumni board for Kelley School of Business and as a board member of SDACC. He has a special interest in healthcare quality and hospital operations. He loves the outdoors and loves exploring with his wife Kalpana, son Ary and daughter Alisha.

Indu Rao, MD

Secretary

Dr. Rao is a Board Certified Internist practicing in Dayton as a Hospitalist for 25 years. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring residents and medical students. She is married to Ashwin Rao and has two sons, Karthik and Ishan Rao.

Meenakshi Patel, MD

Past President

Dr. Patel MD, FACP, MMM, CMD is board certified in internal medicine, geriatrics and a hospice and palliative care. She is a clinical assistant professor at Wright state University as well as Ohio medical University. She graduated from Mumbai University and did her training at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. She has practiced in the Dayton area since 1986. She has been very active in changing care patterns and improving the health of seniors in long-term care facilities. She also has a special interest in Diabetes care. She has been on the National Board of the American medical director’s association. She is on the faculty to train other medical directives per nursing facilities. She also teaches students, residents and Fellows and geriatrics. She has an active research organization with its main focus on Alzheimer’s dementia.

She is married to Mr. Mayank Patel, who is a deputy director at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. They have 1 son Milan Patel who lives in the Columbus area.
